Agenda of the Mining Conference It is an exciting time for Mongolia’s mining companies to gain a competitive advantage on the back of its unique geographic location to China and its potential to explore world class mineral deposits. Mongolia’s junior miners have outperformed its counterparts in 2016 on the back of strong exploration results. While Oyu Tolgoi mine expands its underground potential, the Government of Mongolia resolved a major investment dispute in international courts. The 2016 general election results provide for a single political party to form the Government hence we believe stability could well be achieved. We have formulated this year’s Mining Conference to provide insight into the new Government’s planned actions within the mining industry as well as focus on key projects that have shined in international capital markets.
