Welcome to 15th Discover Mongolia We are pleased to announce that Mongolia’s leading mining investors’ forum will be held during September 7-8th , 2017 at the Blue Sky Tower in Ulaanbaatar. We are excited for the future of Mongolia’s mining industry, as the past year was full of momentum building events for Mongolian mining companies. Agenda of the Mining Conference It is an exciting time for Mongolia’s mining companies to gain a competitive advantage on the back of its unique geographic location to China and its potential to explore world class mineral deposits. Mongolia’s junior miners have outperformed its counterparts in 2016 on the back of strong exploration results. While Oyu Tolgoi mine expands its underground potential, the Government of Mongolia resolved a major investment dispute in international courts. The 2016 general election results provide for a single political party to form the Government hence we believe stability could well be achieved. We have formulated this year’s Mining Conference to provide insight into the new Government’s planned actions within the mining industry as well as focus on key projects that have shined in international capital markets. Exhibition Companies and individuals will be given opportunity to showcase their project for the purpose of attracting investors or strengthening its public relations profile. It is a good way to have one-on-one meeting with potential investors or media. Expo Mongolia – Meeting place for Mongolia’s Future Economy Many countries view the mining sector as key engine of economic development - so does Mongolia. The main economic focus of this resource rich country is set on extraction of mineral resources. With tall mines like Tavan Tolgoi and Oyu Tolgoi (OT), Mongolia has great chances to become the leading producer in the mining industry. A first step is done with the new agreement for the OT project. But to bring the resources into global trade and to achieve maximum profit for the country, infrastructure development must be pursued in a timely manner. Mongolia’s main aim now is to set the economy on a wider basis and to adapt the development of each sector. A perfect time for international investors, associations and private companies to start business in Mongolia and to play a key role in the future development! Therefore Expo Mongolia, the international trade fair in Ulaanbaatar, is the meeting place for all industries! From 23 – 25 May 2016, official pavilions and individual exhibitors are warmly welcomed to the unique networking platform in the expanding eastern market to establish business contacts and to present new innovations to trade professionals from Mongolia and surrounding countries. Expo Mongolia is much honored to receive the support of governmental institutions, industry organizations, international associations and media. E.g. the Ministry of Mining, the Ministry of Environment and Green Development, the Ministry of Energy, the German engineering association VDMA and Czech Trade. Alongside the exhibition, Expo Mongolia consists of a high level conference and offers a free matchmaking service to all attendees.
